CONCUR teamed with conveners from The Johnson Foundation at Wingspread to facilitate a three-day workshop among 27 leading grant-making organizations involved in national and regional water resource efforts.

Participants in the National Water Funders Forum shared their collective insights and experience in the field of water funding and identified opportunities to enhance funding strategies, leverage more participation and achieve greater results. During their deliberations they considered lessons learned from various scales of ecosystem restoration projects and collaborative funding strategies with a focus on equity rights and the commons, agriculture, stormwater and green infrastructure, climate change and adaptation and the nexus between water and energy.  This Forum stimulated their efforts to work more collaboratively, consider the merits of utilizing joint priorities and to take next steps in building a platform for a shared community of work.
