CONCUR has worked in several different capacities on projects to address renewable energy and the implications of climate change. On the renewable energy front, CONCUR has facilitated workshops aimed at advancing the innovation and commercialization of efficient energy generation technologies.
Often, our work in renewable energy involves convening and facilitating collaborative dialogues among researchers, policy makers, and firms active in commercialization.
The implications of climate change are multidimensional. Creation of large climate change forecasts leads to efforts to downscale these models to smaller geographies, understand impacts on ecosystem services and critical infrastructure, and communicate these to policy makers and broader audiences. CONCUR has advised USEPA on investigation of climate impacts on ecosystem services for SF Bay, and facilitated dialogues with investigators in three states to motivate research collaboration on the linkage between climate change science and policy.
